Dakia L. McMillian
Dakia McMillian took the helm as Chandler Hall’s Executive Director in February 2018. She has 20 years of experience in nursing and is both a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and a Certified Assisted Living Administrator. From 2001 to 2008, she served as Director of Nursing at The Evergreens, a continuing care retirement community in Moorestown, New Jersey. In 2008, Dakia became vice president of Health Services there. In that position, she supervised health care delivery and quality improvement, and was responsible for regulatory compliance, recruitment, staff education and budgeting.
Dakia began her career as a staff nurse in 1998 at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey. From 1999 to 2001, she was Unit Manager/Director of Nursing at The Fountains at Cedar Parke, a continuing care retirement community in Atco, New Jersey.
In 1998, Dakia received her diploma as a Registered Nurse from the Helene Fuld School of Nursing, and in 2005 she graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Currently, she is completing work for her master’s degree in nursing at Thomas Edison State University in Trenton, New Jersey.
Nanci Harris joined Chandler Hall in 1998 as Executive Assistant to the CEO. She works closely with the Board of Directors and also supports other areas of Chandler Hall. Nanci has experience in areas of administrative services, customer service, training and event planning. She has served on the Board of Newtown Business Group and been a resident of Newtown for the past 30 years. Nanci enjoys spending time with her two granddaughters, baking/cooking, art and all things technology!
Senior Director of Hospice
Patty Bevlock oversees the Chandler Hall Hospice and Palliative Care Programs. Patty is a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Administrator with over 30 years’ experience in end of life care. After graduating from Drexel University, where she obtained her RN, Patty worked in the acute care setting. Loving geriatrics, she soon moved into Long Term Care. When her aunt became sick, she was drawn to palliative care and hospice. This has become her passion for the past 30 years. Patty has worked with many hospice and palliative programs in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She is a past board member for the New Jersey Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and a current member of the Hospice and Palliative Nurse’s Association. She feels privileged to work with Chandler Hall and the surrounding community to further improve access to care of people with serious illness and help them to navigate the often difficult health care system. In her spare time, Patty enjoys reading and getting lost on road trips with her husband. GPS is the last ditch savior to get them home.
Nursing Home Administrator
Emily Vassoler is a graduate from The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management with a minor in Labor Studies and Employee Relations. Emily began her career in long-term care at Chandler Hall; while completing school Emily worked at another Quaker community in Pennsylvania Foxdale Village for just over a year working in the business office, human resources, and culinary. After completing school Emily returned to Chandler Hall ultimately to obtain her Nursing Home Administrator’s license and take a permanent position within the community.
Personal Care Administrator
Nora Alba started her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1975 in hospitals and then started her long term care career in 1992 . She received her PCH Administrator’s license in 2007. “Person centered” care has been her focal point in all of the Personal Care communities she has managed. Developing and working with seniors and staff to enhance the lives of the residents is the most important work for her. In the Fall of 2018, Hicks Memory Residence became licensed as secured. The team of nurses, care attendants, activities, dietary and housekeeping staff work together to provide a safe, secure, fun and fulfilling life for them.
Senior Director of Culinary Services
Matthew Schwartz has grown up in the local The Newtown area. As the Senior Director of Independent Living and Culinary Services he oversees The Residences at Llenroc, the Lofts and Cottages, the Purchasing Department, and the Culinary Services Department, with 8 kitchens. Matt brings 30 years of experience in long term care settings, with 24 of those years working at Chandler Hall.
Senior Director of Community Support Services
Tony Pellitta worked for Chandler Hall for 7 years from 1988 to 1995 in the Culinary, Maintenance, and Transportation Departments. During this time Tony went to school at CHI Institute to study HVAC systems and receive his Universal Certification. He went on to do contracted work for the next five years servicing and installing HVACs along with plumbing and sprinkler work. In 2000 Tony returned to Chandler Hall as a Maintenance Technician to fulfill his passion of serving seniors.
Director of Philanthropy
Christine Godshall has been at Chandler Hall for six years, first as Volunteer Coordinator and currently as Director of Philanthropy. Christine became connected to Chandler Hall as a volunteer on the Culinary Classics committee and then was hired as the Volunteer Coordinator. Working with the volunteers for three years introduced her to every department at Chandler Hall. She witnessed the mission and values in action every day, and developed a deep appreciation for the volunteers, staff and residents of Chandler Hall. Philanthropy was a natural next step, and she is honored to work with donors to serve the Chandler Hall community.
Prior to joining Chandler Hall, she owned an independent bookshop in Newtown for five years. Before that, she owned an IT consulting firm with her husband.
Christine is a graduate of Council Rock High School and Rosemont College, and has lived most of her life in the Newtown area. She enjoys travelling – literally and also virtually through books – and restoring her historic property in Holland, PA.
Director of Human Resources
Tina Sparo has been part of the Human Resources team at Chandler Hall since 2001. Tina became the Director of Human Resources in 2017. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Social Work and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from Holy Family University. Tina is a member of the SE PA Chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management. Tina enjoys spending her free time watching her kids play ice hockey and soccer.
Director of Sales and Marketing
Jeanene started her professional career as a nursing assistant prior to and throughout college until she graduated with a BS in Speech-Language Pathology. Jeanene has site and regional experience in both operations and marketing for home care, personal care, memory care, CCRC and skilled care. Her passion for quality of life in seniors started with her Grandfather’s stories of immigrating from Vienna Austria to New York City. His courage of leaving his home and coming to America has inspired her throughout her career to enhance the lives of the seniors in each position she held. She is honored to be part of the Chandler Hall family and looks forward developing further relationships with the Lower Bucks County Community and the growth of Chandler Hall.

Jeanene enjoys spending time with her 3 cats and large dog while her son is at college. She and her boyfriend love riding and traveling on their motorcycle with friends. Additional interests are reading historical novels, Reiki, herbal medicine and laughing.
