Chandler Hall’s culinary staff are dedicated to serving high-quality, tasty and nutritious meals made with fresh local ingredients. Our menus are Chef-designed based on the suggestions and requests by residents, families and staff.

Healthy meals are just part of the equation. Interactions with other residents and attentive staff enhance the dining experience for all.

Manor House Cooking


The two Manor Houses at Chandler Hall have open-hearth kitchens that bring the Chef into the dining area. Using fresh foods from local farms, our experienced and talented chefs cook meals from scratch in for Personal Care and Llenroc apartment residents. Their menus include a wide variety of choices, ranging from comfort foods to fine cuisine to international dishes.

Café


Located in Wright Meeting Hall, The Café serves residents, visitors and staff freshly prepared light meals in informal indoor and outdoor settings. Each weekday, The Café offers luncheon specials along with a wide range of reasonably priced favorites. “Wellness Wednesday” menus feature special entrees for the healthy minded.

Dining in Memory Support and Skilled Nursing


The Friends Nursing Home has two inviting dining rooms. The main dining room is for long-term residents, where a variety of options and an emphasis on fostering independence is offered in a dignified dining setting. The large farm table is a favorite place for family gatherings. Short-term rehab residents dine in The Bistro, a separate dining area with room for visiting family and friends.

The newly renovated Hicks Dining Room is in the memory support residence. This spacious area has abundant windows and a full kitchen for baking and cooking activities or a leisurely cup of coffee. Dining options, including selection of meals and times, are flexible and tailored to each individual.

Sample Menus

All meals are nutritionally balanced with options of fish, chicken, red meat and vegetarian selections. We identify ingredients in our recipes for those on special diets, and we can accommodate most types of food restrictions.
